Giglio is part of the Tuscan Archipelago National Park and has always provided a crystal clear sea, unspoilt nature and an quiet tranquility that betters the fashionable tourist resorts.

Its name originates from the classical period, when there was a large number of goats (the ancient Greek word for goat was "Aigylion" which then became "Igilium" in Latin).
